Rules & Regulations

Axel Public School believes that every student is an individual with unique needs and abilities. Our policies create a learning environment that is physically, psychologically and socially safe for all.

Our academic philosophy

Continuous and comprehensive evaluation as recommended by CBSE.

At Axel Public School we believe that learning occurs both at the individual as well as the peer group level, and every student is an individual with special needs and abilities. As such we provide a learning environment which is physically, psychologically and socially safe.

We motivate learners to develop effective study skills and become life-long learners. Axel Public School follows the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) as recommended by CBSE — a school-based evaluation system that covers all aspects of student development.

Continuous & Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE)

CCE is a developmental process that emphasises two objectives: continuity in evaluation, and assessment of broad-based learning and behavioural outcomes. It includes assessment in both scholastic and co-scholastic aspects of student growth, as per CBSE guidelines and norms.

Curriculum overview

A developmentally appropriate curriculum across all four stages of schooling.

Kindergarten

The curriculum developed to match the stages of development of individual students is essentially practical and provides a happy, caring environment where children can achieve success in a wide range of enjoyable activities.

  • English — Speaking, listening, reading, writing, spelling and handwriting through varied activities.
  • Mathematics — Concepts and skills acquired through practical situations and activities.
  • EVS — Outdoor environment, field trips and school labs to stimulate curiosity and reasoning.
Primary — Classes I–V

Builds on the foundation of the early years with richer subject matter and greater independence, while keeping learning practical, collaborative and grounded in the child's experience.

  • Indian Languages — Assamese introduced in Class III. From Class V, students may choose Assamese or Sanskrit. Hindi is compulsory up to Class 8.
  • All subjects conducted in a happy and stable learning environment with regular opportunities for oral communication.
Secondary — Classes VI–X

The secondary curriculum deepens subject knowledge and develops analytical thinking, research skills and the capacity for independent study in preparation for Class X board examinations.

  • CBSE-aligned subjects with emphasis on conceptual understanding and application.
  • Science practicals, project-based learning, and inter-disciplinary assessments throughout.
Senior Secondary — Classes XI–XII

Science, Commerce and Humanities streams are offered. Students are prepared rigorously for CBSE Class XII boards as well as competitive entrance examinations including JEE, NEET and CLAT.

  • In-house JEE-NEET coaching integrated with the school timetable.
  • Boarding facilities available for Class XI & XII students.

  2. Children must not be sent to school wearing ornaments or jewellery of any kind. The school will not be responsible for the loss of such items. 3. Parents must send all books covered, with the owner's name written clearly on each.
  4. To develop greater facility in English, only English should be spoken within the school premises.
  5. Students suffering from illness or an infectious disease must not attend school. All homework must be completed regularly.
  6. Every student is required to participate in all school activities for their all-round development. Exemptions will only be granted for valid reasons. Parents and guardians are not permitted to see their children or interview teachers during school hours.
  7. Parents and guardians may not dictate to school authorities on any matter; however, constructive suggestions that support the growth and development of the school are always welcome. It is important to help children understand the value of discipline, courtesy, respect and obedience.
